City Harvest Festival
The City Harvest Festival is a major feature on the calendar for London's community gardens and city farms and allows them to showcase their educational and neighbourhood achievements.
Held in the beautiful grounds of Capel Manor College in Enfield, there are plenty of attractions for visitors, including an animal show, where children and young farmers show the wide range of animals kept at London's city farms in a series of competitions.
There is also a marquee for vegetables and flowers grown in the city's community gardens and city farms - plus a variety of craft demonstrations.

There are 17 city farms and more than 100 community gardens in the capital. Many are open to visitors or offer opportunities for volunteering, work training or education. London Environmental Education Forum (LEEF):
FCFCG members can join this membership organisation which promotes and champions the delivery of environmental education across Greater London. LEEF organises training, workshops and seminars to enhance members skills, spread best practice and provide networking opportunities. LEEF also advertises job vacancies and promotes events linked with Environmental Education delivery. Visit www.leef.org.uk for further information.
London City Farms Cycle Route:
A cycle route has been established around central London which takes in eight of the capital's 17 city farms as well as many famous landmarks and tourist spots. The route is about 30 miles in length and covers eight boroughs. Lambing at Lambourne End:
Thanks to funding from the Local Network Fund, London Federation members were able to take children from their projects to the Lambourne End Outdoor Centre to see lambing in action. You can learn more by visiting the Lambourne Lambing Page.
